Our team is made up of compassionate and dedicated animal lovers who all share the same passion to help animals. Our vets and nurses are very highly experienced and we do everything we can to ensure a peaceful passing for your pet.
We are built on foundations of integrity, transparency, kindness and respect. We uphold these values in our interactions with each other as well as in the greater community and in general life. We celebrate individuality and aim to provide a safe space for everyone to feel comfortable.
Our mission is to guide you and your pet through this stage of their journey with love and kindness and we feel privileged to be able to provide this service.

Ashleigh Bassett Veterinary Nurse
(Cert IV Veterinary Nursing)
Ash is a Brisbane-based vet nurse with a deep love for animals. Over the past 8 years, she has had the privilege of supporting pets and their families in both everyday and critical moments.
Ash is highly experienced, having worked in across both General Veterinary Practice and Speciality Veterinary Hospitals providing Emergency and Critical Care to pets in need.
Her passion for veterinary care goes beyond the clinic—she is dedicated to helping families provide their pets with compassionate, dignified care at home, especially during those final, tender moments.Outside of work, Ash’s two Border Collies, Buddy and Holly, keep her on her toes and remind her daily why she chose this path. They are featured in her photo but had to be photoshopped in, highlighting the comedic challenges of trying to get a family photo with high energy Border Collies! She considers it a privilege to be there for pets and their families, bringing comfort and care when it matters most.

Tiana Davey- Veterinary Nurse
(Certificate IV Veterinary Nursing, TAE Assessor Skillset, Bachelor of Science (BSc Class I Hons))
Tiana brings over 8 years of compassionate veterinary nursing experience to our team. With a background in emergency and critical care, she understands the importance of gentle, dignified care during life's most sensitive moments.
Having worked across wildlife rehabilitation, exotic animal medicine, and veterinary pathology, Tiana brings a wealth of experience to her role. As a certified veterinary nurse, she's dedicated to ensuring both pets and their families receive the highest standard of support and understanding. Currently working toward her PhD, Tiana combines practical nursing experience with scientific knowledge to provide thoughtful, informed care for the pets and families she serves.
When she's not at work, Tiana's own pets keep her busy and entertained: a mischievous Beagle named Dobby, a crafty kitty named Kenny and his cuddly cat buddy Rye, a teeny pygmy bearded dragon called Norbert, and two best bud budgies, Darwin and Petrie. Any spare moments are spent reading by the beach, tending to her garden, or creating art. She's also an avid listener of true crime and medical science podcasts, reflecting her ongoing curiosity about science and medicine.

Sonya - Veterinary Technician/ Registered Nurse
(Bachelor of Veterinary Technology, Cert IV Veterinary Nursing,
Bachelor of Nursing)
Sonya graduated as a Veterinary Technician in 2012 and has built a diverse and rewarding career across both the veterinary and healthcare sectors. With experience spanning general practice, specialist hospitals, and emergency and critical care in both Australia and the United Kingdom, she has developed a deep expertise in the fast-paced and high-pressure environments of animal care.Currently, Sonya also works as a Registered Nurse in Paediatric Emergency, where she divides her time between this role and her ongoing passion for veterinary care.
Sonya is deeply compassionate and sensitive in guiding pet owners through the difficult process of euthanasia. She believes in honouring the human-animal bond, providing a calm and respectful environment where decisions are made with care and understanding.
Outside of her professional life, Sonya is an avid nature lover, often found hiking, at the beach, or exploring the bush with her adventurous Standard Dachshund cross.

Dr Tiffany Yung BVSc (Hons)- Veterinarian
Tiffany brings many years of veterinary experience working in a local emergency and critical care hospital and understands the importance of families and pets being together to share these tender, final moments.
Tiffany is an advocate for both the emotional and physical well-being of pets and their families. She strives to create a serene and dignified environment, bringing warmth and comfort to pet’s and their families.
Tiff feels honoured to help families during this sensitive time, and works to ensure that all pet's final moments are filled with love, comfort, and respect.
Tiff is an exceptional vet with a special interest in Critical Care. Her combination of knowledge, experience, warmth and compassion enables her to provide the highest standard of care to her patients and their families.
Tiff was born and raised in Hong Kong, but has lived locally in Brisbane for over a decade. In her spare time, she enjoys exploring new parks with her two year old daughter. She also enjoys yoga and snuggling up with her cheeky dog Hazel and her two gorgeous cats Leah and Skylar.

Dr Nikki Robertson BVSc-Veterinarian
Nikki brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience working as an Emergency & Critical Care Veterinarian and a General Practice Veterinarian. She is an incredible vet, with a deep understanding of the importance of gentle and dignified care for animals during the final stages of their journey.
Nikki feels privileged to be able to provide a peaceful and dignified transition for pets in their home and feels this is one of the kindest gifts we can give to our pets.
Nikki has a special interest in small animal emergency surgery but her talents have no limits across the fields of veterinary medicine.
When not at work, Nikki enjoys gardening and kayaking. She shares her company and home with her two beautiful dogs, Myrtle the greyhound and Ruff the American Bulldog, and her three cherished cats Twitch, Gizmo and Sparrow.

Dr Emily Sanchez BVSc (Hons)-Veterinarian
Emily brings many years of compassionate veterinary and veterinary technician experience to our team. She is an amazing vet who takes extra care to ensure a peaceful and dignified passing for pets in her care. She has a special ability to bring a sense of calmness to situations allowing pets and their families to feel comfortable during his stage of their journey together.
She has experience working in many fields across the veterinary industry including; Emergency and Critical Care in Specialist Hospitals and General Practice as a veterinarian and a veterinary technician prior to this.
Emily is feels passionate about providing gentle end of life care to pets and is dedicated to providing a peaceful passing to pets in her care. She has various special interests within the veterinary field and is a highly talented vet.
In her spare time, Emily enjoys horse riding, spending time in nature and going running with her incredible dog, Spud.

Nigel Mclennan- Aftercare & Cremation Coordinator & Founder
Nigel is a gentle, kind and empathetic person. Through his experiences caring for his boy Broccoli in the final stages of his journey, he understands first hand the challenges of navigating pet end of life care.
Nige will be there to help guide and support you through this part of your pet’s journey with kindness and compassion. He is dedicated to ensuring pets and their families are treated with kindness, dignity and respect and he strives to maintain a safe and happy work environment where staff are respected and valued.Nige is an avid dog lover and will stop to make friends with dogs at every opportunity. He is also a talented musician and enjoys being creative and he has an unhealthy obsession with cacti and gardening in general . He is also a cat whisperer so he often finds himself unable to move from the couch for fear of disturbing his two feline friends, Bay Leaf and Willow. When he is able to, he enjoys spending time in nature with his two very individual and unique chihuahua-ish dogs, Nimbin and Zephyr.

Dr Emma Andrew BVSc (Hons) -Veterinarian/Director/Founder
Emma is a compassionate and empathetic vet dedicated to providing end of life care to dogs and cats in their home where they feel happy and at ease. She feels privileged to help your beloved pet through this stage of their journey and she does this with love and kindness.
Emma has experience working in emergency & critical care hospitals, home euthanasia services and end of life care, general practice, community vet clinics and animal shelters.
Emma founded Love & Toe Beans after losing her beautiful dog, Broccoli, in the hope to improve end of life experiences and care for pets and their families. Sharing in these final moments has been the most rewarding part of her career so far.
In her spare time, Emma enjoys gardening and exploring nature with her two small but mighty chihuahua-ish dogs, Nimbin and Zephyr AKA Stephen and also laying back to relax and watch medical dramas with her two smoochy and adorable cats, Bay Leaf and Willow.
